THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE BUYING A GRAPHIC CARD!

Here is the list of things that you should keep in mind before choosing  graphic card.

Ø  Core clock/ core stream:
Ø  Memory clock
Ø  memory
Ø  Shader model
Ø  Memory  Bandwidth
Ø  Power
Ø  Memory type
Ø  Slot type

ATTENTION:
whenever you buy graphics card don’t just look at its memory / like if you think that a 4 GB graphic card can perform better than 1 GB then you are wrong.

"Performance of graphic card is purly dependent on (core clock & memory clock)  shader model memory type and the most important is memory  bandwidth"

.Other factors also play a vital role for making GRAPHIC CARD  a performer.but these thing are purly related to performance and these are the thing that you should keep in mind . choose one which is good in these four things that i mention . the more these thing are power full the more your graphics card perform and deliver superb quality. Let me explain you why these four things matter to graphic card performance.

1 : CORE CLOCK & MEMORY CLOCK:
In CPU there are two main things one is processor and second is memory . its not about how much its about how fast.i am talking about the speed or the frequencies in which these things are operating.the more fast they work the more they perform . same as in graphics cards if core clock (processing speed) has high it means it is processing each frame in high frequency  the more high it render the frames the more reliable will be your gaming experience.same happened to memory clock . memory clock means how fast your graphic card is storing the values and calculations.

2:  SHADER / streeamprocessor:

Shaders are also a great and powerful feature of graphic card.there are 3 components of shader .
·         Vertex shader
·         Geometric shader
·         Pixel shader
You can probably understand these things by their names . vertex shader control/process (x,y,z) co-ordinates of the game. Geometry shader control/process the physical structure of the objects of game. And pixel shader the most important of all control/process the pixels of the game.

So these are the components of shader which we can say overall environment controller of the game.  So before buying graphic card remember again more shader means more real life performance.

3 MEMORY TYPE:

Well its better to know that graphics card has many type of memory .memory type are something like DDR2,DDR3 ,GDDR4,GDDR5. DDR stands for (DOUBLE DATA RATE) . memory type means what type of memory your computer or graphic card using. E.g a  1 GB ddr 2 memory is not better than 1gb ddr 4 memory type. In PC we name it DDR but in graphics cards we name it with extra G which represent the word GRAPHIC . like GDDR means( GRAPHIC DOUBLE DATA RATE). So, What you should keep in  your mind is that always choose graphic card which is latest in memory type . nowadays GDDR5 is latest.WHAT DDR does is it increases the path or ways to transfer the data lets suppose 1 GB  GDDR3 has 10 pipes to flow data while at the same GB GDDR5 Allows 30 pipes to flow data the more the pipes to flow data the more bandwidth a graphics possess. And the more bandwidth it possess the more graphics it can transfer to monitor.

4 MEMORY BANDWIDTH:

Okay now that we have touched on the subjects of memory clockspeed and we can get to the most important part: memory bandwidth. Memory bandwidth tells us the speed at which the GPU can access the memory. Remember with GPU processing power how this was a combination of the number of cores and the clockspeed? Well, something similar is the case with the memory. How much memory can be accessed per second is a combination of the bus width and the memory data-rate. This is why clockspeed by itself does not tell you anything about the real memory speed available to the GPU.

Calculating the memory bandwidth is quite simple. Consider the following example for the reference GTX 580 card from NVidia:
Item
Value
Memory clock
1002MHz
Memory bus width
384-bit

A memory clock of 1002MHz means a datarate of 4008MHz. Put more simply this means that the memory can do 4008 million transactions per second. Each of these transactions is 384 bits. This means that the bandwidth of the memory is 384 x 4008 = 1,539,072 million bits per second. To get from bits to bytes we divide the number by 8 leading to 1,539,072 / 8 = 192,384 million bytes per second or 192.4 GB/s. This final outcome is the real memory performance figure .
CONCLUSION:
As we can see the industry of games  increasing rapidly so the need of running these extraordinary high graphics games increases also so their are varieties of GPU available in market . But dont be fool and waste your money on buying high end performance GPUs you can still get good performance by knowing about GPUs . And what are the things that matter and what are the thing that don't.
